Ladies and Gents,
Please take a few moments to reflect on how you worked in your Solar Cooker groups. What was the general feeling of the group? Did you have one person who stood out strongly as a leader or did you all work to make decisions jointly? Did you observe other groups working? Did you see any dynamics present in other groups that you didn't see in your own? Do you think your group worked together effectively and efficiently to create your solar cooker? Why or why not? And please write any other observations you may have about how working with your group went today... We look forward to reading your comments!
Love,
All of us.

In our group i believe we worked collectively for the most part, an in the end we accomplished our task in a timely manner. While there was a clear (but unofficial) leader in the group, we worked in a manner so that we all played a part. I beleive that we did work effectively on the solar cooker despite minor conflicts, and i believe that my group will continue to improve on our work ability today
ReplyDeleteI didn't like making the solar cookers because it was getting me aggravated. The solar cooker wasn't cooperating with me or anyone else in the group. In other words i wanted to burn it. The person that stood out in our group or showed the most leadership was Thramain. We basically appointed her leader of the group for this project. I think our group worked together well because we didn't argue or "strongly discuss" a lot over who's doing what or who's not doing anything in the group. This wouldn't be something i would like do as a project for school. I think the paper should be burned and non existant to the future but that's only my opinion other people might have liked working on the solar cooker and enjoyed this experience.

Hi ther everyone...we really need to know who is writing a comment to give credit where credit is due!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I think the solar cooker was an alright experience to work together because seriously i believe this brought us together as a group. well thats my opinion. I think towards my group, they might've not enjoyed it because there was a lot of aggravation. I gave Ann-Marie the most points because she really went all the way with it and she also did really well. But besides that, our solar cooker turned out really well.

i didnt like workin on the solar cookers because we had somebody in our group that tried to do everything but in the end our project wasnt finished and i was mad about that because i thought that we couldve finished the whole thing.
ReplyDeletei feel like my group worked veryy well with the solar cooker. we all did our part. i think it turned out great and even though the measurements was kind of confusing we all finished it and the solar cooker became a success :)

Our solar cooker was great. We worked together, first we went with the grid idea. It was a pretty smart idea until we noticed that we messed up. Every square was supposed to be 1 inch it ended up to be about an inch and half. We saw that other groups did not use the grid and they were ahead of us. In the beginning of the project i was just sitting waiting for the grid to be finished, i also helped making the lines. Then we noticed it was too short so i got up and started to find out what exactly to do and we all made our cooker. I think we all thought of a differnt idea in our mind. Some of our group members are not that ggood with math and take too long to map out the grid. But in the end we all finished we finished before some groups that were ahead of us
ReplyDeleteThe solar cooker was very interesting but complex. The Designs that my group were hard to draw. After awhile it got easier. I think my group worked well enough to get the job done. We had a good leader who delegated our roles to us. My favorite part was trying to find the direction the sun was the strongest in. -john brodie
ReplyDeletei didnt like makinq the solar cooker at first because it was a little hard, but then it became a little easier. i think my group worked well together everyone did a part in it and some didnt do as much.our solar cooker came out good dont know if it work cause someone took our water but it was a nice little project to do as a team and on our own..

I Thought that making a solar cooker would be easy from looking at picture our teacher gave us on what it look like. But I realized after looking at the outline of the shape of the Solar cooker it wasn't going to be that easy. My group and I had to make sure the meaurements were in perspective when it came to the lines and the angle of the on the paper we used to outline the solar cookers shape. I think that we really had a hard time working with the solar cooker, but we got through it in the end and we worked together as a team to get it done. Thank God for Ms. Daneashrad because if she didn't help us a little I wouldn't have been able to get through this
ReplyDeleteThe feeling of the group at first was exasperating but then pretty good due to us asking questions and getting where we needed to be. The solar cooker was a bit of a job. To me it looked more of a paired assignment. I didnt see how 4 people could do it with all 4 people putting in a hand.

making the solar cooker was fun my group and I work hard at it. The feeling of the group was great we each help each other out. With the measuring part of the cooker and folding part to. I didnt really look at other groups cooker i try to stay focus on our cooker.

In Our Group We Work Really Good everyone had a part that they was stronge at,We Saw other group work and notice they rush and mess up there cooker's so we took our time and we finish on time
ReplyDeleteI think while building teh solar cookers my group had difficulty with working together. One person wanted to make teh grid and i personally thought that making the grid was a waste of time, which it was. the grid mad our measurements mess up and we had a smaller solar cooker. we had difficulty starting but at the end we sucessfully made our solaar cooker.
ReplyDeletemakeing the solar cooker was somewhat confuseing at first but when my group got into it..everything seemed to be okay; untill we had truble with he folds and so on but over all it was great & my group worked good together. our only problem was that we didnt get to finish putting foil on it but the main part had foil & that was what is important because our water still got hot; even though we had doubts about it even working .

In my group we didn't have a set leader but we had different people do different things like measure and cut. While I noticed that other groups had a set leader who was telling everyone else to do.
ReplyDeleteworking on the solar cooker was a fun experience although we didnt have ONE leader we all worked as a group in doing this activity,at first we didnt really have an idea what to do because measuring all the angles and what not was a bit confusing we all got together and did what we had to do

The solar cookers were kind of cool but tremendously ugly and a little blinding. I wish that my family could use one of them instead of continuously paying Con Edison(is that who does the gas?). And to prove I know what a solar cooker is and how it is used I give you this. Heat produced by sunlight reflecting off of aluminum siding which is some times shaped of a parabola so that the food is craddled and also so that the sun doesn't reflect towards anything surrounding the solar cooker thus causing burns! Solar cookers are mostly used in hot areas of the world and to some families it is their kenmore ovens. Hmm I learned something. :) -Tiffany Hairston
